If you weren’t able to pick up an NES Classic console on launch yesterday, you’re not alone — thousands of gamers were eager to buy one, only to realize that they were sold out everywhere.
Nintendo seems to have misjudged demand for the NES Classic, or perhaps it was an intentional marketing scheme, which wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for an electronics product.
Now the company has issued a statement on Twitter regarding the console, saying that it’s a “hot item”, and that they are “working hard to keep up with consumer demand. They added:
“There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year.”
There better be.
