Italy is not a big gaming market, but it’s still large enough for Nintendo to have a local office there. And of course, it’s the origin place of Nintendo’s famous mascot, Mario.
And Italian gamers have embraced the Switch just like the rest of the world has.
Nintendo Italia announced that for the first 10 months on the market, the Switch is outselling the Wii, which is the best Nintendo selling console of all time.
And Nintendo Italia is expecting 2018 to be just as good, saying in a statement, “We are confident in 2018 success thanks new and important games like Kirby Star Allies, Bayonetta 2, Dragon Quest builders, and a new game from the Yoshi”.
Those are of course only the announced games, we’re sure there will be more unannounced titles coming in 2018. Like Bayonetta 3 and maybe even Metroid Prime 4.
