A couple of weeks ago we reported that the Nintendo Switch would support Bluetooth headsets. Now it appears that it won’t.
Nintendo’s own Yoshiaki Koizumi said that the Switch would support Bluetooth headsets in an interview with a French news outlet, and now a Nintendo of France spokesperson says that this was a misunderstanding.
The official line from Nintendo is that the Switch does not support Bluetooth headsets, and that Yoshiaki’s words were either a misunderstanding or mistranslated.
Instead, we’ll have to make use with the regular 3.5 mm headphone jack for our headphone needs.
The Nintendo of France rep did not say if the Switch would eventually support Bluetooth headsets in the future.
