Apple may make some rather wonderful products, even if the iPhone 7 didn’t live up to the usual high standards, but we can all agree its marketing has become incredibly tiresome. That’s why, in this new Benedict Cumberbatch-helmed Saturday Night Livesketch, Apple is – quite literally – the butt of the joke.
Riffing off Apple’s famous 1984 ad, which was about Apple bringing innovation to a stagnant industry, the sketch quickly turns to toilet humor. Not the crass kind, mind, but the sort that really does focus around toilets.
SNL’s sketch pokes fun at Apple’s recent trend of innovation for innovation’s sake. So, stop sitting on your toilet the boring, standard way and instead embrace innovation. Note, this new future of toilet usage does also come in Jet Black.
